Club Structure

The constitution of the club provides for shares to be allocated in groups, with each group having primary booking rights to one of eight rooms. A minimum of 30 shares must be held per member and each room has a maximum of 10 shareholders. The maximum number of members is 80. The members in each room elect a director every two years, with the process being applied to the directors of four rooms in alternating years.

The directors are generally responsible for overall policy, particularly recommending the amount of the annual subscription and any special levy, and setting accommodation rates prior to the start of each season. Involvement of all members is welcome and major decisions usually involve significant contribution from the members, not to mention all the issues getting quite a thrashing around the fireplace through the season.

Meetings

The Annual General Meeting is held in Cronulla. Financial accounts for the preceding year are presented and four (out of eight) room directors are elected. The annual subscription and any special levy are determined by the shareholders present at the meeting. The directors meet as necessary throughout the year to review operational and financial matters.
