The constitution of the club provides for shares to be held in each of the eight rooms, with the minimum of 30 shares to be held by any member. The maximum number of members is 80. The members in each room elect a director every two years, with the process being applied to the directors of four rooms in alternating years. The directors are generally responsible for overall policy, particularly setting the annual levy and setting accommodation rates prior to the start of each season. Involvement of all members is welcome and major decisions usually involve significant contribution from the members, not to mention all the issues getting quite a thrashing around the fireplace through the season.
The board is supplemented by a Membership Committee and a Building Committee. The Membership Committee deals with issues relating to membership, buying and selling of shares, membership benefits, etc. The building committee looks after planning short and long-term maintenance and renovation requirements.
